Recent Accomplishments

As a sample of our firm’s work, we have recently accomplished the following matters:

• Resolution as special counsel of insider preference claims in a large high-publicity Chapter 11 case;

• Resolution of foreclosure of public building on behalf of Fortune 500-corporation involving federal government tenant;

• Negotiated, supervised and executed re-subdivision of complex property development in Chicago suburb involving rezoning, re-subdivision, establishment of five special service taxing areas, establishment of four condominium associations and a common- interest community association, development agreements with governmental entities, municipal general obligation bonds, and dissolution of hotel on property;

• Workout with national lender of a construction company in loan dispute;

• Resolution of preference case on behalf of trustee regarding questions of first impression on new value defense;

• Facilitated resolution with municipality resulting in purchase of home in Barrie Park toxic waste dump litigation;

• Settled a long-standing dispute with City of Chicago on zoning and building issues relating to Wrigley Field rooftop;

• Settled significant preference case in Montgomery Wards bankruptcy; and,

• Resolution of administration proceedings by Illinois Division of Insurance against employee leasing company.
